Security Guard Training in Mississippi (Unarmed/Armed)

Mississippi does not license the private security industry. However, there may be some requirements on the city and county levels. The company that hires you may have basic criteria that you must meet as well.

Standard requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old
High School diploma or equivalent
No felony convictions
No crime involving the illegal use of weapons

Armed Guard Requirements:

Armed guards must receive their firearms permits from the Department of Public Safety. In order to receive the credential, they must go through a background check process.
